Kashmiri lady to head ICE in London

Srinagar, Mar 11: A Kashmiri lady, Anusha Shah, working for Jacobs Engineering as Regional Framework Manager London, has been appointed chairperson of the London region of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). “A CIVIL engineer from Croydon has become the first woman to head up the London Region of her professional organization. She is the youngest engineer voted into this role,” a London based newspaper reported. Her job means she represents more than 8,000 professional civil engineers who live and work in the capita1, it said.
“I am delighted to have been appointed to this senior position within the ICE and look forward to stepping up our engagement with schools, politicians and the public over the next 12 months,” the newspaper quoted her as having said. Born in Kashmir and educated in New Delhi and UK, Anusha has worked on variety of water and environmental projects.
